Maybe Tomorrow

by Anonymous

I love you so, can't you see
I'd tell you every day,
And show you every way;
Just not right now.

I've the fields to plow,
How my back does ache;
The crops to come in,
And my teeth all break.

My head is a hurtin'
But one day for certain
I'll have all I need to show you how
I love you like I can't do now.

So, maybe tomorrow I'll touch you
And maybe tomorrow you'll sigh
Maybe tomorrow I'll kiss you,
And hold you while you cry.

So, maybe tomorrow I'll tell you
That you're beautiful to me,
And maybe tomorrow I'll sweep
You right off your little feet.

Tomorrow, I swear I'll make up
For all the times I screwed up.
Tomorrow, I promise I'll love you
Like a woman has a right to.

But when tomorrow came,
The girl I loved was gone.
I only found wet tissues
And this little poem.

I guess I should have listened,
I guess I should have cared.
A little of what I could've done
Might have saved what's now long gone.

So, tomorrow I will miss you,
And tomorrow I will cry,
And blame it all on you, bitch,
Cause I'm just another guy.

Guys will never get the point,
To see what's really needed.
It's not the size nor frequency
That keeps a girl at home, you see.

If passion just ain't possible,
With patience undeniable,
A little cuddle and listen
Goes a long damn way.

And saves us both from cryin'
All the live long day.
